Obituary

Edmond R. Lacroix, 85, of Berlin, NH passed away on Thursday November 13, 2014 at his home. He was born in Island Pond, VT on September 16, 1929 the son of Ovila and Hilda (Morris) Lacroix and has resided in Berlin for the past 80 years. He graduated from Berlin High in 1947 and attended North Hampton Business College in North Hampton, MA. Ed was a US Army Veteran and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish. He was employed by Brown Company and James River Corp for 42 years as a payroll supervisor and was also a part-time bartender at the Town & Country Motor Inn in Shelburne for 18 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing in his later years. Ed was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed.

Family members include his wife of 60 years Olive (Lavigne) Lacroix of Berlin, NH; daughters Elaine Johnson and husband Wayne of Virginia Beach, VA, Louise Lassooy and husband Hans of the Netherlands, Donna Fortier and husband David of Berlin, NH, Sharon Gaul and husband Fritz of Hooksett, NH, Linda Farrell of Hampton, NH and Pamela Nett and husband Kenneth of Berlin, NH; 12 grandchildren, Jennifer Ganuelas, Kimberly King, Lindsay and Matthew Lassooy, Justin, Jason and Adam Tempke, Rob and Zack Gaul, Geoffrey Farrell and Dylan and Libby Nett; 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother Hilda Lacroix in 2009.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at 10 AM at St. Anne Church of Good Shepherd Parish. Interment will be in the St. Kieran Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Bryant Funeral Home, 180 Hillside Ave. ,Berlin on Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society or Northwoods Home Health and Hospice.
