Claire Anne (Zanden) Gale, 76, of Worcester died Wednesday, November 12th at home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Don; a son, Donald M. Gale of Santa Clara, CA; a daughter, Patti Austin of Worcester; two grandchildren, Erika and Alexander Austin both of Worcester; a sister, Catherine Zanden of Framingham and a brother, Charles Zanden of California.
She was born in Waltham the daughter of Charles and Catherine (Creeden) Zanden and raised in Cochituate. Claire raised her own children in Northborough and lived in Worcester for the past 35 years.
Funeral services and burial will be private. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation of New England, 85 Astor Avenue, Suite 2, Norwood, MA 02062 or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
