Judith T. Watson, 66

Dateline: Norton, MA

Judith T. (Amancio) Watson, age 66, of Norton, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. She was the beloved wife of James E. Watson to whom she was wed on July 29, 1967.
Born in New Bedford, MA on March 9, 1948, she was a loving daughter of the late William Amancio and Mary (Mendonca) Winnegge and her husband Herbert Winnegge. She grew up and was educated in the Attleboro area.
Mrs. Watson had been employed for 20 years at the former Paul A. Dever State School in Taunton; retiring as an Administrator. Following retirement, she had worked part time in the floral department at Roche Bros. in Norton, and also worked part time at the former Party Pals in Norton.
Judy had made her home in Norton for the past 50 years. She was a member of the Norton Historical Society and worshiped at the Candleberry Chapel in Attleboro.
Judy loved spending time with her family; especially in the presence of her cherished grandchildren. She enjoyed arts & crafts, camping trips with family and friends, and visiting local casinos.
In addition to her beloved husband of 47 years, she is survived by her loving and devoted daughters; Mary Anne Orlando and her husband Roger of Norton and Cathy L. Rapoza and her husband Matthew of Norton. She was the adoring grandmother of Sara Rodriguez and her husband Fred, Jacob Orlando, Caleb Rapoza, and Hannah Rapoza. She was the dear sister of Dolores Bowen and her husband Ernest of Florida, Joan Courchine and her husband Everett of Florida, Theresa Maymon and her husband David of Attleboro, Shirley McCarthy of South Carolina, and the late Russell Amancio. She was the sister in law of the late Doug McCarthy, and is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Monday, November 17th at 11:00 A.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home, 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton. Burial will follow at the Norton Center Cemetery in Norton.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, November 16th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Norton Memorial Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Judy’s memory may be made to the Candleberry Chapel, 381 South Main St., Attleboro, MA 02703.
