Edward Douglas (Doug) Walker, Jr. 63, husband of Dorothy Ruckriegel Walker died November 12, 2014 surrounded by family. He was born November 17, 1950. Doug is the son of Lois P. Walker and the late Edward D. Walker, Sr. He is survived by sisters Peggy Newman (Pete) and Kathy Goley. He is also survived by his in-laws, Liz Berger, Claudette Ruckriegel, Charlie and Beverly Ruckriegel, Paulette Ruckriegel, Jim and Karen Ruckriegel, Alice and David Hortenberry, Sherrill Ruckriegel, Millie Boss, Tom and Linda Ruckriegel. Also lots of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews from both the Walker and Ruckriegel families. He graduated both Seneca High School (1968) and The University of Louisville (1972) with honors and received his Master of Arts from Central Michigan University in 1981. He was a graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces. He received The Defense Logistics Agency Meritorious Civilian Service Award in February, 1990. He retired from the Department of Defense in 2009 after over 35 years of service. After retirement he was employed by URS in Stafford, VA and Richmond, KY.
