Manchester– Jay Alan Hill, 48, passed away on November 10, 2014 at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center surrounded by his family. He was born in Manchester on November 6, 1966 the son of Claire (Beaulieu) Thompson and stepson of Scott G. Thompson.
Jay graduated from Memorial High School in 1984. Had previously worked for the Union Leader and most recently as an independent worker involved in painting and reconditioning cars. He held membership at the Manchester Fish & Game and the Ukrainian Club.
Jay enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia and nostalgic photos. His favorite sports teams were the Patriots and Bruins. Some of his favorite things were music, the beach and fishing.
Jay was a great friend to many and would always greet you with a smile. To anyone who knew him, he was always extremely respectful and always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He was an all-around great guy.
Family members also include his father Ronald Hill and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
A memorial reception will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2014 from 2 to 4 PM at J.N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St.. A Celebration of Jay’s life will be held at 3:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family in defraying funeral expenses.
