Georgette B. Gardiner, 84, of Snake Hill Road, Harrisville, died Saturday, November 8, 2014 in the Holiday Retirement Home, Lincoln. She was the wife of the late Raymond W. Gardiner.
Born in Woonsocket, a daughter of the late Alfred and Rita (Viens) Dainef, she lived in Harrisville for seven years previously living in Greenville and Cumberland.
Mrs. Gardiner was an active member of St. Philip Parish and was a Friendly Visitors volunteer for many years, visiting area nursing homes bringing joy to many elderly residents. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband.
She leaves a son, Jeffrey Gardiner and his wife, Amy of Harrisville with whom she lived and her grandchildren; Christine Carey of Springhill, FL, Kevin Gardiner (Angie James) of Boston, MA, Bryan Gardiner (Samantha) of Colorado Springs, CO and Sara Gardiner (Gary Ficca) of North Smithfield; five great grandchildren, and her dear friends, Josephine and Connie. She was the mother of the late Virginia Carey and sister of the late Alfred Dainef, Jr.
Funeral will be private.
