Raymond P. Zukowski, 95, of Barefoot Bay, Florida, formerly of Worcester died Friday, November 7th in Vitas Hospice at West Palm Beach Hospital. His wife of 38 years, Dorothy (Wojciak) Zukowski died in 1986. He leaves a daughter, Darlene Wong-Kam and her husband, Leeland with whom he lived; three grandchildren, Peter Wong-Kam and his wife, Kelly of Worcester; Christopher Wong-Kam and his wife, Denise and their children, Sarah and Emily; and Greg Wong-Kam and his wife, Charity and their children, Liliana and Ashley all of Webster; nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by a three brothers, a sister and two half-sisters.
He was born in Shenandoah, PA the son of Anthony and Sophie (Novakowski) Zukowski and was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Raymond was an inspector at the former U.S. Steel Company and the former Norton Company. He was a member Our Lady of the Angels Church, the Worcester Polish American Veterans of World War II, the American Legion Vernon Hill Post 435 and the American Legion Post 366 in Barefoot Bay, FL
His funeral is Saturday, November 15th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 9:30 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street, Worcester. Entombment will be in Notre Dame Mausoleum, Worcester. Calling hours are Friday, November 14th from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
