DERRY, NH – Bernadette (Knox) Walton, 91 of Derry, NH and formerly of Methuen, passed away Saturday November 8, 2014 at Parkland Medical Center in Derry, NH.
Born and educated in Methuen, MA, she was the daughter of George and Veronica (Reilly) Knox, was a graduate of the Edward F. Searles High School Class of 1940 and also McIntosh Business School in Lawrence. For many years Bernadette worked as a secretary for various companies, and most recent, prior to her retirement for Attorney Harold Morely of Lawrence, MA.
She loved to socialize with friends and looked forward to her daily walks at Riverside Park. She amazed everyone at her ability to care for a large home, including yard work and shoveling snow until three years ago.
Bernadette was married in 1946 to Francis W. Walton until his passing in 1984. She leaves her daughter, Karen L. Caron and her husband Daniel R. of Derry, NH; grandsons, Randall S. Caron and his wife Kim of Bedford, NH and Kevin D. Caron and his wife Melissa of Somersworth, NH. She also leaves her sister-in-law, Barbara Knowlton of Jaffrey, NH; two nieces Donna Knowlton and Debbie Favreau.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005. Visiting hours for family and friends will be Friday from 9:30a.m. – 11:00a.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844.
