SPENCER; Donald P. Zalauskas, Jr., died Sunday, November 9 at his home after an illness.
He leaves his wife of 38 years, Linda J. (Hanson) Zalauskas, two daughters; Laura M. Madison and her husband Sean, Sgt. USMC, of Sneads Ferry, No. Carolina, Marcia J. Miller and her husband Scott of Spencer, his mother, Pauline (Pion) Zalauskas of Spencer, three brothers; Kenneth J. Zalauskas and his wife Donna of So. Yarmouth, Anthony P. Zalauskas of Spencer, Matthew B. Zalauskas and his wife Dorinda of No. Brookfield, four sisters; Mary A. Gallant and her husband Michael of Manchester, NH., Patricia Graves and her husband Joseph of GA., Paula Stafinski and her husband Bob of Spencer, Christine Rogan and her husband Kevin of Spencer, many nieces and nephews as well as his nine year old cat “Cooper”.
Born in Worcester he was the son of Donald P. Zalauskas.
Donald was a warehouse receiving manager for 40 years, working at former Brookfield Shoe Co. in East Brookfield, World Sports International in Rochdale and retiring in 2006 from Saucony in East Brookfield.
He was a graduate of David Prouty High School.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and taking trips to the Cape.
A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, November 12 at 7 P.M. in the J. HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Calling hours will pre-cede the Service from 5-7 P.M.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
