Michael J. Kearney, 68, of Goffstown, died November 7, 2014 at Elliot Hospital in Manchester after a sudden illness surrounded by his family.
He was born in Long Beach, CA on July 14, 1946 to Lester and Marion (Elce) Kearney. He lived in California for many years before moving to New Hampshire 18 years ago.
Michael worked at Friendly’s Restaurant in Nashua for many years, then for the Bedford School District as a school bus driver. He enjoyed boating and waterskiing in the Colorado River.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, David Kearney.
The family includes his wife of 39 years, Marlene M. (McKay) Kearney of Goffstown; three children, Kay Kearney of California, Robert Kearney of Arizona and Michael Kearney of California; six grandchildren, James Runez, Janelle Runez, Kristen Kearney, Summer Kearney, Joanna Kearney and Breeana Molina; a great grandson, Trevor Runez; four siblings, Earl Kearney, Jerry Kearney, Dan Kearney and Dorothy Kearney; a niece, Channon Leborgne; a nephew, Brian Leborgne; two brothers in law, Harvey McKay and his wife, Linda and Everett McKay; a sister in law, Grace Veilleux; and many other nieces and nephews.
A funeral ceremony was held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at Lambert Funeral Home & Crematory, 1799 Elm St., Manchester.
