Amancio F. DePina, 55, of New Bedford died November 7, 2014 at Highlander Rehabilitation Nursing Center.
Born and raised in Brava, Cape Verde, the son of Oliveiros DePina of New Bedford and the late Eugenia F. (Fernandes) DePina, he lived New Bedford since 1975.
He enjoyed sports and music.
Survivors include his father; his fiancée, Maria F. Reverdes, 9 children, Takara Detancur, Rosemary DePina, Rhonda DePina, Nancy Reverdes, Joe Reverdes, Nando Reverdes, James Reverdes, Joey Reverdes and Joshua Reverdes; 10 siblings, Maria Ribeiro, Madalena Guevara, Eugenio DePina, Margarida DePina, Ecilda Andrade, Oliveiro DePina, Olavo DePina, Manuel DePina, Julia DeBarros and Eduardo DePina; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 12th at 10 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford, followed by his Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 11 AM. Burial will be in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, November 11th from 4-8 PM.
