Teresa Henry Johnson, 56, of Tifton died Saturday, November 8, 2014, at her residence surrounded by her husband and daughters. Her funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 10, 2014, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with Rev. Michael Toombs officiating. Mrs. Johnson will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 9, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Gavin Starling, Eddie Starling, Christopher Bryant, Bobby Stone, Brian Gibson, Heath Barry and Mike Webb will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be her Northside Primary family.
Mrs. Johnson was born on January 25, 1958 in Tifton and was the daughter of the late Lenora Scarbrough Luke and the late Wilbur D. Luke; and Bobby and Joyce Henry of Albany. She worked at Northside Primary School for 25 years and was of the Baptist faith. She adored her two daughters and loved being “MeMa” to her grandson, Gavin.
In addition to her father and step-mother, Mrs. Johnson is survived by her husband, Stan Johnson of Tifton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Kris Stone of Tifton and Misty and Ryan Gibson of New York, New York; four brothers and one sister-in-law, Timothy and Tammy Henry of Moultrie, Bobby Henry Jr. of Leesburg, Michael Henry of Worth County and Robin Henry of Leesburg; three grandchildren, Gavin Starling, Carter Stone and Kaden Stone; and many nieces and nephews.
