Mary Eleanor Fenton, 86, of Franklin, beloved mother of Susan Marie Fenton of CT, Barry Webster Fenton of Norfolk, and Dean Joseph Fenton of Sandwich as well as loving grandmother of Daniel Joseph Fenton and Matthew Reid Fenton.
She is also survived by two sisters, Bettie Frank of FL and Constance Barnes of NC.
Mary was a Simpson from Walpole where she grew up figure skating and playing hockey with the boys. After raising her children in Norfolk, she moved to Franklin.
A gifted artist and member of the Franklin and Foxboro Art Associations for many years, Mary won many awards for her large seascapes and other oil paintings.
She took pride in her job as an account representative at F.W. Faxon, handling multi-million dollar accounts.
She loved spending hours in her hillside garden, decorating her home, and over the years driving two Camaros, an Austin-Healey, an El Camino, and a Monte Carlo. Mary was admired for her cleverness with words, sense of humor, and style.
A private memorial celebration of her life will be held.
