Robert E. “Bob” Yargeau, age 66, passed away on Nov. 3, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center. He was born on Jan. 4, 1948 in Chicopee, a son of the late Theodore and Bertha (Daigneault) Yargeau. Bob served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a former member of the Goodfellas. He loved fishing and was the vice president of Atwood Security for many years before starting his own business in 2002, the Manufacturers Discount Casket Outlet in Agawam. He leaves 2 sons, Jason Yargeau and his wife Tiffany and Brandon Yargeau and his companion Rachel Savastano, all of Fort Pierce, FL; 1 daughter, Bethanne Morin and her husband Philip of Cummington, MA; his long time companion of 23 years, Carolyn (Bigelow) McDonald of Agawam along with her children, Dennis McDonald of Reno, NV, Darin McDonald and his companion Debbie Greenleaf of Reno, NV and Terri Fitzgerald and her husband Shane of Fort Worth, TX. He also leaves 2 sisters, Loretta Roberge and her husband Roger of West Brookfield, MA and Mary Kane and her husband Daniel of Tolland, CT; one sister-in-law Joni Yargeau of Chicopee; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his brother Theodore Yargeau. Calling hours will be held on Monday, Nov. 10th from 10-12 noon at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee followed by a funeral service at noon. Burial will take place in the MA Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Pl, Memphis, TN 38105.
