DORNA (MITCHELL) EDDY, age 92, of Duxbury, formerly of Hingham, died on Sunday, Dec. 5th at her home in the Village at Duxbury after a brief illness. Mrs. Eddy was born in Brooklyn, NY and spent her early life in Newmarket, NH. She was a graduate of Keene State College in Keene, NH. She came to Hingham in 1949 where she resided until moving to Duxbury 10 years ago. Mrs. Eddy was a teacher by profession and taught for many years in the Norwell Public School System. She was a member of the Hingham Congregational Church and the Hingham Yacht Club.
Wife of the late William B. Eddy, she leaves her daughter, Barbara E. Duggan of Wakefield, RI, and son, Robert M. Eddy of Sutton, MA She was the grandmother of Matthew C. Eddy, W. Corey Eddy, John Duggan and Thomas Duggan. Also survived by 2 great grandchildren.
The funeral services and interment are to be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Hingham Public Library, 66 Leavitt St., Hingham, MA 02043
