John A.F. Francis, 42, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Rhode Island Hospital. He was the son of the late John A. Francis and Carol (Moniz) Phaneuf.
John was born in New Bedford and a lifelong resident of the city. He loved music, was a fan of Bruce Lee movies, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.
Survivors include his 2 sisters: Nancy C. Shepard and her husband Scott of New Bedford and Betty-Joe Lemberg and her husband Peter of New Bedford; 1 granddaughter: Hailey Dewhurst; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the father of the late Trevor Dewhurst.
Private arrangements will be held at the convenience of the family.
