Robert W. ‘Bob’ Doucette, 67, of Charlton died unexpectedly on Monday, November 3, 2014.
He was born in Worcester, April 24, 1947, and grew up in Worcester and was a resident of Charlton for the past 44 years.
Bob graduated from Worcester Vocational Technical High School and worked at a number of local companies before he and his wife, Helene, founded BT Copy Center of Charlton in 1985. Bob and Helene worked as partners at BT Copy for 28 years, retiring in January 2013.
Bob was a current member of the Spencer Lions Club and a past member of the Charlton Lions Club. An active member of the Lions organization over 42 years, Bob served his community and held many offices in both the local clubs and in the district. He volunteered his time and talents working in the District 33-A Sightmobile where he enjoyed helping people get access to sight and hearing screenings.
Bob loved to spend his days and evenings motoring around Glen Echo Lake in Charlton with his bride, his family and many friends and neighbors. His greatest enjoyment was sharing time at the lake with friends and family.
Bob will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years, Helene (Quidoz) Doucette; children, Keith Doucette of Charlton and Michele (Doucette) Piergallini and her husband Tony, and their children Cole and Tyler of Fryeburg,ME., and his sister, Lucille Caulfield of West Boylston and his nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry W. Doucette of Worcester and mother, Lillian (Lorion) Doucette-Lapomardo and her husband Vincent both of Millbury.
Calling Hours for Bob will be Friday, November 7, 2014 from 5PM to 9PM at the ROBERT J. MILLER-CHARLTON FUNERAL HOME, 175 Old Worcester Rd., in Charlton.
Bob’s Funeral Mass will be Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 12 (Noon) in St. Joseph ‘s Church, 10 H-Putnam Rd., Extension in Charlton.
