Robert “Bob” Kenney, of West Dennis, formerly of Whitman, passed away on November 3rd after a yearlong illness. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend.
Born in Boston in 1935 and first born of Francis and Gertrude (Campbell) Kenney. He attended Weymouth Vocational High School. He served in the Army and was in the reserves.
He worked in the auto body repair business; he owned his own business in Whitman, South Ave Motors, which is still in business today. After selling his business he became a heating/air conditioner technician and that was his profession until he retired. His favorite hobby was his boat and spending time with his family and his dog-Rocki.
He was the husband and best friend of Mary Anne (Hohmann) Kenney for 52 years and the brother of Donna (Kenney) Costello of Pembroke; brother/sister-in-law Edmund and Joyce Hohmann, Jr of Norwell. He leaves behind a daughter, Lisa (Kenney) Maragnano of Chattanooga, Tennessee formerly of Plympton; two sons, Stephen Kenney of West Dennis and Michael Kenney of Hanover. As well as six grandchildren and many loved nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his beloved dog “Rocki”.
