Meredith- Roy Riggs, 95, passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2014 at Forestview Manor.
Born in Kittery, Maine, Mr. Riggs was a long time resident of Laconia. He graduated from Classen High School in Oklahoma City, OK and attended the University of Oklahoma. Roy served in World War II as a Navy Corpsman with the Fleet Marines in the Pacific Theater. He also served during the Korean War. Roy worked at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and retired as Director of the Systems Analyst Department at the Federal Reserve in Washington, DC.
Roy is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gorden and Barbara Riggs, of Princeton Junction, NJ; nieces, Stephanie Whitney of Norfolk, MA and Susan Geller of Princeton, NJ. He was predeceased by his parents, Leone M. Riggs of Laconia, NH and Roy Riggs Sr. of Oklahoma City, OK.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 7, 2014 at 1pm at Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, N.H., using the Whipple Avenue entrance.
