Obituary

LEICESTER: Paul J. Richard, 63, of Boyd Street in the Cherry Valley section of Leicester died Sunday, Nov. 2 in his home.

He leaves his wife of 19 years Margaret M. (Doherty) Richard, his mother Elodi Anne (Hachey) Richard of Leicester, two brothers; Ernest G. Richard and his wife Linda of Westborough and Mark Richard and his wife Wendy of Leesburg, VA, two sisters; Pauline Marois and her husband Arthur of Auburn and Suzanne Lahti and her husband Dave of Shrewsbury, several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog “Lady”. He was pre-deceased by two brothers Norman & Rene Richard.

Paul was born in Worcester, son of Joseph W. Richard. He graduated from Leicester High School. He was employed in the wire industry retiring 3 years ago. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and philosopher. He always had an opinion on current events and challenged people to look at life differently. He loved watching New England Sports teams especially the Red Sox and the Patriots.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, Nov. 8 at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main Street, Leicester. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Leicester. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Shelter.P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515. MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main Street, Leicester is directing arrangements.
