William “Dub” Timmerman

Augusta, GA – Mr. W. F. Timmerman, 94, of Harlem, Ga., was called home to be with the Lord, Monday, November 3, 2014.

Mr. Timmerman, known by most as “Dub”, was a lifelong resident of the CSRA. He and his wife of 76 years raised four children in Augusta, where he was the owner of Dub’s Auto and Truck Service. He served his country in the Marines and served his community as a member of the Augusta chapter of AMBUCS. He was a founding member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was currently a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Harlem. Mr. Timmerman had a zest for life and was known to be a practical joker. He enjoyed hobbies ranging from making custom hunting knives to driving micro midget race cars. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and was one of the founding members of Whispering Pines Hunting Club.

Mr. Timmerman is survived by his wife, Nellie (Billie), his children Sandra (Ron) Crum, Bill Timmerman (Pat), Priscilla Nunnally (Larry) and Roger Timmerman (Ester). He had 9 grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Mr. Timmerman’s grandsons, Brett Timmerman, Paul Timmerman, Randy Timmerman, Stevie Morgan and Clay Morgan and his great grandson Joshua Timmerman.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 7, 2014.at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Mike Sutphin officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park
