Catherine V. (Bunny) Kilcoyne, 77 of North Andover passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday November 3, 2014. Born in Lawrence, MA she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Harvey) Hanley.
Bunny attended St. Michael's Parish and was the first female member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society for which she served many years. She graduated from Lawrence High in 1954 and worked for New England Telephone for 22 years.
She was a thoughtful, selfless woman whose greatest joy was her family. She enjoyed hosting holidays, summer pool parties, baking and playing games with the grandkids. Bunny was a fierce Scrabble player and an avid Red Sox fan. She also enjoyed long drives to the beach and the mountains.
She will be deeply missed by her husband, Robert Kilcoyne, her children, Patricia Young of Amherst, MA, Colleen LaChance and her husband Richard of Wilbraham, MA, Robert and his wife Heidi of North Andover, MA and Judy Brezner and her husband Howard of Andover, MA , her grandchildren Christian Hanley and his wife Arnelle, Gabrielle and Chase Young, Julia and Catherine LaChance, Emily, Allyson and Lucy Kilcoyne and Jake and Luke Brezner and her great granddaughter, Dasia Marie Mitchell. Sisters, Dorothy Halloran and her husband William of Hampton, NH, Mary Keleher and her husband, Joseph of North Andover, Sisters in law Maryalice Kilcoyne of Andover and Mary Lou Kilcoyne of North Andover and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Merrimack Valley Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion they provided.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 7th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Saint Michael Church on Main Street in North Andover, MA. The burial will follow in the Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in North Andover, MA. With respect to Bunny’s wishes there are no calling hours.
