Auburn - Mr. Raymond Desroches, 86, passed away Monday November 3rd at the Life Care Center of Auburn with his family by his side.
Raymond leaves a son, John Desroches and his wife Kathy of Oxford, a daughter, Maria Gerrol and her husband Daniel of Auburn; four brothers, Gabriel Desroches of England, Paul Desroches and his wife Pauline of Ct., Eugene Desroches of Bellingham, and Robert Desroches and his wife Joanne of Fl., three sisters, Lorraine Mazzola of Worcester, Claire Wirf of West Brookfield, and Evelyn Roberts of Leicester; two grandchildren, Jennifer Smith and Edwin Lynds III, three great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Raymond was born September 17, 1928 in Worcester, Massachusetts a son of the late Alphonse and Ferdinand (Prefontaine) Desroches. Loving husband to the late Rita M. (Chronchio) Desroches who passed away in 2011.
A lifelong resident, Raymond was educated through the Worcester Schools. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Upon his return he worked for over thirty years at Wright Line as a spot welder retiring in 1990.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Loreto Church and a former member of the Froshian Club. The family would like to express their gratitude for the wonderful care their father received at the Life Care Center of Auburn.
His funeral will be held on Friday, November 7th from FAZIO FUNERAL HOME, 9 Branch St in Worcester. A funeral mass will follow at 10:00a.m. at Our Lady of Loreto Church. Interment will be in St John’s Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Thursday, November 6th from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.
