HOLYOKE – Shauna Lyn (Vandermyn) Alicea, 37, of Holyoke, was Called Home on Saturday, November 1, 2014. She was born in Holyoke on May 17, 1977, a beloved daughter of Craig A. Vandermyn of Agawam and Deborah A. (Casey) Vandermyn of Springfield. She was raised in Springfield and lived in the city for many years. She attended Holyoke Community College and lived in Holyoke for the past several years. She was predeceased by her beloved son, Aidan Daniel Sweeney who was Called Home on April 28, 2009; her grandfathers, Norman M. Casey who was Called Home on December 14, 1989 and Gerard R. Vandermyn who was Called Home on November 25, 1997. Besides her parents, she leaves her loving daughter, Samantha D. Luce; her sisters, Allyson V. Williams and her husband, Kevin, and Melissa J. Vandermyn and her fiancé, Kevin Barrows; her grandmothers, Alice Casey and Violet E. Vandermyn; and her many dear aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and a nephew and niece. Her relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, November 6, 2014 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Springfield Chapels, (413-737-1177), 7 Chapin Terrace, Springfield, MA 01107.
