Margaret A. “Peggy” Grasso, 86 of Peabody, died Saturday, November 1, after a brief illness at the Kaplan Family Hospice House, Danvers.
Born in Boston, she lived in Peabody and formerly of Danvers and Malden. She was the daughter of the late Lillian (Linnell) and Victor Gallerani. Margaret worked at the Danvers Saving Bank in Danvers for 10 years and retired in 1993.
Wife of the late John Grasso. Devoted mother of John Grasso and Joseph Grasso Sr. both of Danvers, Carol Vaccaro of Malden, Jeanne Marquardo and Paula Grasso both of Revere, Barbara Trani of Watertown, Patricia Rogers of Chelmsford and Martin Grasso of Bridgewater. Also survived by 17 loving grandchildren and 7 loving great grandchildren. Sister of Jean Waite of Mansfield, Joan Cassidy of Lawrence, Mary McGovern of Bellingham, Robert Gallerani of Shrewsbury, William Gallerani of Milford and the late Victor and Richard Gallerani.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, Thursday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
