Norman "Jaye" Veenstra, 61, of New Bedford died Monday October 27, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Norman and Frances (Davis) Veenstra, he lived in New Bedford for most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Kristine (Wilkinson) Veenstra; his children, Norman "Jay" Veenstra, Jr. and his wife Shannon Gangemi, Tanya Piccinni, James Morin, John Morin, Michelle Morin, Elizabeth Costa and her husband James, and Ryan Veenstra and his wife Amanda; his siblings, John Veenstra, Balbina Gross, Becky Rodrick, James Veenstra, and Judith Veenstra; and his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
His visiting hours will be held on Thursday October 30, 2014 from 5-8 PM at the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford.
