TEWKSBURY: Lloyd H. Maranville, Jr., age 56, a resident of Tewksbury for over 25 years, died Monday, December 6, 2004 at Saints Memorial Medical Center in Lowell. He was the husband of Marie (Dunlea) Maranville with whom he celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on August 11th.
Born in Middleboro on November 20, 1948, he was the son of Lloyd H. Maranville, Sr., who survives him of Middleboro and the late Esther (Perkins) Maranville. Mr. Maranville was raised in Middleboro, attended Middleboro schools and was graduated from Middleboro High School in 1966.
He attended the former Lowell State Teachers College, where he received his bachelor’s degree in Music and Education and a Master’s degree in Education.
Mr. Maranville served during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Sharpshooter Badge for his proficiency with the M-16 rifle.
Mr. Maranville was employed for 32 years as a teacher by the Westford Public Schools.
He was a communicant of St. Williams Parish of Tewksbury.
Mr. Maranville enjoyed collecting Nutcracker’s, Music, visiting historic landmarks throughout the United States and Camping.
In addition to his wife and father, he is survived by 2 daughters; Rose M. Maranville of Amherst and Jean Marie Maranville of the Brighton section of Boston; 1 son; William L. Maranville of Amherst; 2 sisters; Judith Clark and her husband George and Patty Lacerda and her husband Richard all of Middleboro.
Calling hours Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee St., Tewksbury. Funeral Friday at 10:30 a.m. from the funeral home. Funeral Mass Friday at 11:30 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St., Rte. 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Tewksbury Cemetery.
