Carl O. Decker

Carl O. Decker, 92, of Anderson, passed on October 24, 2014 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie. He was born on January 28, 1922 in Anderson, the son of Carl E. and Mabel (Pace) Decker. He was employed as a Draftsman for over 40 years at Delco Remy Division of General Motors in Anderson. He served his country during WW II as a 1st Lt. Pilot in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his 2 sisters, Evelean M. Decker of Muncie and Mary Decker McCartney of Daleville and nieces and nephews, Cheryl A. Dawson, Melissa "Lissa" McCartney, Melinda "Mindy" McCartney Brown, Michael McCartney, Mark McCartney, Robert "Bob" Decker, David Decker, Kathy Decker Baker, Carl Larry Decker, Cassandra "Candy" Decker Henricks.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Winifred Dawson Decker on June 26, 2006. They were married on October 2, 1964. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Earl Decker, Vern Decker and George Decker.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 11 AM at Rozelle Johnson Funeral Service in Anderson. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the funeral on Wednesday.
Memorial Contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
