Loving husband of Marilyn "Sherry" Woods McGowan of Indian Rocks Beach, FL. Loving father of Maureen & Thomas Sullivan of Plymouth, Gerald & Eileen McGowan and the late Martha McGowan of Hull. Grandfather of Katie & Hannah Sullivan of Plymouth, John "Jake" Sullivan, USMC, presently serving in Iraq, Eugene, Bonnie and John, all of Hull. He was the brother of Mary Platenik of Manlius, NY, Ann Morris of Westfield, MA, the late Gerald McGowan and the late Jean Wise of Westfield. Also survived by 6 grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the funeral from the Pyne Keohane Funeral Home, 21 Emerald St. (off Central St.), HINGHAM Friday at 9 AM. Funeral Mass in Saint Ann's Church, Hull at 10 AM.
Visiting hours Thursday 4-8 PM.
Cremation will follow.
Jack retired from the U.S Postal Service and was a popular bartender on the South Shore for several years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army., and a member of the Largo Elks, lodge #2159, Clearwater VFW, Post #24743 and the American Legion post #0462 in Boston, MA. Previously, he lived in Hull, MA and Greenwich, CT.
