WORCESTER-Joseph P. McGinn 42, of 1126 Pleasant Street died Monday October 29th in Mass General Hospital in Boston. He leaves his mother Lillian B. (Griffin) McGinn of Worcester; his former wife Colleen K. (Vaught) McGinn of Worcester; 2 sons Daniel P. McGinn and Patrick J. McGinn both of Worcester; a daughter Emily A. McGinn of Worcester; 3 brothers Thomas J. McGinn, III of Severna Park, MD, Michael J. McGinn of Worcester and Neil C. McGinn of West Boylston; 3 sisters Mary E. Cronin and Anne T. Tangney both of Worcester and Clare E. Snay of West Boylston, several nephews and nieces.
He was born in Worcester son of Thomas J. McGinn, Jr. and lived here all his life. He was a graduate of St. Peter Marian High School and attended Assumption College. Mr. McGinn was a supervisor at UPS Logistics in Malden. He was an avid fisherman.
The funeral will be held Saturday November 3rd from O’Connor Brothers Funeral Home, 592 Park Avenue with a mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 931 Main St. Following cremation burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be Friday November 2nd from 4:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home. The family asks that flowers be omitted and contributions made to the Shriner’s Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
