Obituary

Dominik R. Wesolowski, 90, of Hopedale died Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at the Landmark Medical Center in Woonsocket, RI. He was the husband of Claire T. (Lafond) Wesolowski since 1953.

Born in North Bellingham on February 28, 1924, he was the son of the late Dominik and Antonina (Pupek) Wesolowski.

Mr. Wesolowski graduated from Bellingham High School and later Northeastern University in 1951, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and Accounting.

Mr. Wesolowski served in the Eighth Air Force during WWII as a turret gunner on a B17. He was shot down over Germany and was a prisoner of war for a period of time.

He worked as an accountant for 20 years at the Draper Corporation in Hopedale and then for 16 years at Honeywell, Inc. until his retirement in 1986.

Mr. Wesolowski was a member of the Hopedale Country Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Dr. Mary Owen and her husband Christopher of Woburn, MA and Kennebunkport, ME, and Dr. Ann Walters and her husband John of Marion, OH.

He is also survived by four grandchildren, Jonathan Owen and his wife Christina, Daniel Owen, Andrew Walters, and Alison Walters and one sister Helen S. Ledoux and her husband Joseph M. of Bellingham.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral from the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber St. in Medway (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral Mass at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 187 Hopedale St. in Hopedale at 10 a.m.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Medway.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m.
