Rose McGrath
..of Salem, NH, formerly of Tewksbury; age 72
SALEM, NH - Rose Marie ( Marsh) McGrath, age 72, a former Tewksbury resident, died
Monday morning, Dec. 6, at the Caritas Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, after a brief illness.
She was the wife of 50 years of Norman R. McGrath, who died in 2001.
She was born in Waltham, Mass., a daughter of the late Walter J. and Helena (Matthews) Marsh.
She lived in Tewksbury for 48 years, before moving to Salem, NH in 1999.
As a resident of Tewksbury, she was active in St. William’s Parish. Since moving to New
Hampshire, she was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church in Salem, NH.
She retired from Agfa-Compugraphic, where she had worked as an inspector.
She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Lt. Michael J. McGrath of the Lawrence
Police and his wife Sandra (Fichera) McGrath of Methuen, Norman R. Jr. and his wife Denise
(O’Rourke) McGrath of Salem, NH, Brian J. and his wife Cindy (Moreau) McGrath of Salem,
NH, Robert M. and his wife Michelle (Sickorez) McGrath of Pepperell; three daughters and a
son-in-law, Susan Fielding of Salem, NH, Linda J. Doherty of Tewksbury, Carol Ronan and her
husband David of Belmont, NH; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Kevin, Kelly, Timothy, David,
Matthew, Helena, Justin, Joel; one brother, James Marsh of Wilmington; three sisters,
Pat Farrell and her husband James of Dracut, Jacqueline Murray and her husband Jack of
Nebraska, Margaret Reid of Maine, and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Mass was celebtared Friday, Dec. 10, in St. William’s Church,Tewksbury.
Interment was at Pine Grove Cemetery, Salem, NH. Memorials to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA
