Obituary

FRAMINGHAM: Ralph F. Richardson, 87, died peacefully and comfortably surrounded by his family on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 following a period of declining health.
He was born in Lowell on May 26, 1927 the son of the late Maurice W. Richardson and Cecil (Flewelling) Richardson.
Ralph is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 52 years Suzanne (Gagnebin) Richardson of Framingham. He was the uncle of William R. Landry of Murfreesboro, TN. Brother of the late Maurice W. Richardson, Jr. and Jane R. Wright. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
Ralph and his wife Suzanne have resided in Framingham for the past fifty two years. He spent his formative years in Amsterdam, New York. He received his Architectural Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence. Ralph had a long and distinguished career as an architectural draftsman designing traditional, colonial and contemporary churches throughout the area. He has been an active member of the Church of the Holy Spirit, volunteering his time and talents in many capacities. He loved sailing, photography and bicycling. He was devoted to his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife.
Ralph served his country proudly with the United States Army during World War II as a Private First Class and earned the World War II Victory Medal.
His funeral services were held on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10:30 am at the Church of the Holy Spirit, 169 Rice Road (Off Rte 30), Wayland.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 11:00 am at Mount Auburn Cemetery, 580 Mount Auburn Street, Cambridge.
In lieu of flowers his family suggests that memorial gifts in Ralph’s memory may be sent to the Church of the Holy Spirit.
