Obituary

Archie E. Wools, 96, Anderson , succumbed to an extended illness October 17, 2014 at Golden Living Center, Muncie .
He was born August 2, 1918 to Freeman and Anna Wools in Linton Indiana. He worked Barber Manufacturing and Delco Remy prior to entering the United States Army in December of 1942 and served Honorably in the 351st Engineers General Service Regiment during World War II. His regiment constructed General Eisenhower’s headquarters as well as repairing the North side of the Eiffel tower after it was bombed. After being discharged from the Army he worked at Howe Fire Apparatus until 1975.
He loved to bowl and achieved a perfect game of 300 in 1983. He belonged to as many as four Anderson area bowling leagues.

Survivors include Daughters, Darlene ( Steve ) Renner of Yorktown, Marcia ( Stephen L.) Witham of Bucksport, Maine. Son, Terry (Pat) Wools of Lebanon .
Grand children :Tara ( Scott ) Shoemaker, Virginia Beach, Virginia. T.J. Riggins and companion Elizabeth Duncan, McHenry Mississippi. Asa (Jon) Harned , Chula Vista California. Audrey Solomon and partner Alan Barker ,South Portland Maine.
Great Grandchildren, Alex Mroz, Darian Mroz, Macey Elms, Abbey Shoemaker, Brooke Shoemaker, Blake Riggins , Kaille Randolph, Peyton Randolph, Carson Riggins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Ruth A. Wools.
Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25th, 2014 with the Rev. Gary Klinger of the First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 -2:00 P.M. prior to the services. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
