Belmont-----Scott Thomas Goulette, 40, died on Sunday, October 19, 2014 at his home in Belmont.
Scott was born February 15, 1974 in Barre, Vermont, the son of Thomas and Janet (Simoneau) Goulette. He grew up in Belmont and graduated from Belmont High School.
After high school he attended college and then served a tour of duty in the United States Army, stationed at Fort Bragg, NC.
After the service Scott traveled. He lived in Jackson Hole Wyoming where he loved meeting people from all over the world and working as a snowmobile guide in the mountains. He moved on to live in Cleveland Ohio, where he enjoyed the professional sports teams and the numerous golf courses that gave him a chance to play the game that he loved.
Scott loved people and was always interested in jobs where he could help someone. After moving back to New Hampshire he worked as a car salesman at White Mountain Chrysler /Plymouth/Jeep in Plymouth for a number of years and then moved on to become a Corrections Officer for Merrimack County for a number of years. He was currently working at Bow Auto Parts.
Survivors include Scott’s parents, brother Eric of Hillsboro, his maternal grandmother Doris Simoneau of Laconia, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his brother Jim, paternal grandmother Margaret Goulette of Barre, Vermont, and his maternal grandfather, Raymond Simoneau of Laconia, and his cousin Kyle Kabachis of Laconia.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, Oct. 24, 2014 from 5pm - 8pm using the carriage house entrance of the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 25th, 10am, at St. Andre Bessette Parish at Sacred Heart Church, 291 Union Avenue, Laconia.
Burial will be in South Road Cemetery, Belmont.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the New Hampshire Humane Society, PO Box 572, Laconia, NH 03247 in recognition of Scott’s love of animals.
