Grignaffini, Rita Ann (Zaniboni) Of Wellesley, born January 6, 1937, daughter to the late Mena Baga and the late Louis Zaniboni, and stepdaughter to the late Stephen Valente.
Rita died peacefully in her sleep on October 19, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her family at home.
Rita led a rich life, full of love, family, friends and travel. She will be forever cherished by all those who had the privilege to have had her in their lives.
Rita is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, C. Joseph Grignaffini; their four children; Lori Gordon and her husband Stephan of Greenfield, Linda Cucinotta and her husband John of South Natick, Joseph Grignaffini and Leslie Sabatino of Wellesley, Robert Grignaffini and his wife Dawn of Shelburne Falls. Grandmother of James, Jesse, Danielle, Melanie, Nathaniel, Nola, and Cole along with 5 Great-Grandchildren. Sister of the late Richard Zaniboni and his wife Sharon of Sandwich and Louis Zaniboni and his wife Bebe of San Diego, CA.
Funeral from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St. (Rt.16) Wellesley, Thursday, Oct. 23 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Paul Church, Wellesley at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday from 3-8pm. Interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Needham.
