Wilmetta Walker Warren, 87, of Atlanta, formerly of Fitzgerald, died, Sunday, October 19, 2014, at Campbell Stone Assisted Living in Atlanta.
Graveside services will be held 11:30 A.M., Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Fitzgerald, Georgia. The family will receive friends Saturday morning at 10 AM until service time at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Warren was born November 14, 1926, in Dodge County, Georgia to the late William Lee and Mattie Mae Cook Walker. She was a former resident of Albany, Columbus, and Miami, Florida. For many years Mrs. Warren owned and operated The Carriage Trade in Albany.
She is survived by her daughters: Sylvia Terry and Ellen Warren; her grandchildren: Warren Terry, Lindsay Dawson, Walker Terry and Patrick Warren and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: William Stanley Warren.
