Sr. Claire Hebert, PM (Sr. Ste-Marie-de-la Providence), of Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, died October 14, 2014 at St. Joseph Residence in Manchester.
She was born in West Warwick, RI on September 25, 1928 to Arthur and Jeannette (Bernard) Hebert. She made her first profession on July 2, 1948 and her final profession on August 15, 1953.
Sr. Claire was an educator who taught in the elementary schools of Gorham, Berlin, Hudson and Manchester, NH, as well as in Woonsocket and West Warwick, RI. She also served the community as a nurse’s aide, housekeeper and driver until she was assigned to St. Joseph Residence II due to diminishing health.
Her family includes a brother, Arthur and wife Roshni Hebert of Largo, FL; a sister Lucille Collard of Warwick, RI; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, October 22, 2014 in the Resurrection Chapel of St. Marie Residence, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH. Burial was in Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Presentation of Mary Retirement Fund, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104.
