Mary Y. Ferrara, 83, of Medford, died Friday after a long illness in the Bear Hill Nursing Center, Stoneham.
Born in Boston, she lived in Medford since 1963 and formerly of the North End of Boston. She was the daughter of the late Pasqualina (Sciarappa) and Felix Manzelli. Mary was an Assembler, with Raytheon for 10 years and retired in 1995.
Beloved wife of Santo Ferrara. Devoted mother of Gracine Copithorne and her husband Richard, Cheryl Scully-Cappello and her husband Anthony all of Medford. Loving grandmother of Kimberly Melius and her husband Jason of Reading, Rick Copithorne, Christopher Scully and his wife Angela and Jessica Scully of Medford. Loving great grandmother of Jacqueline, Julia and Joshua. Sister of Ann Tulipano, Felix Manzelli and the late Connie Link, Evelyn Gregorio, Peter, Al and Willie Manzelli.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Tuesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner St., Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Monday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
