Helen C. (Belliveau) Guenette, 92, of Acushnet died Wednesday october 15, 2014 at Alden Court Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Jean Louis Guenette.
Born in Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Grace (McCormack) Belliveau. She was raised in Acushnet by her foster parents Frank and Rose Michon.
She was a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church.
Mrs. Guenette was formerly employed as a custodian at the Russell Memorial Library until her retirement after 31 years of service.
She attended Holy Family High School.
She was especially devoted to her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Donald Guenette and his wife Elaine of Acushnet, Robert Guenette of New Bedford, and Rene Guenette and his wife Karen of Acushnet; a daughter, Denise Guenette of Fairhaven; seven grandchildren, Jocelyn Ramos, Janelle Mayo, Christopher, Justin, Kyle, Cory, and Craig Guenette; four great-grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew, Ashley, and Taylor Guenette; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the grandmother of the late Donald Guenette, Jr. and sister of the late Catherine Akers and Judy Uccello.
Her Funeral will be held on Friday at 9 AM from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford followed by her Funeral Mass at St. Francis Xavier Church, Acushnet at 10 AM. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 5-8 PM.
