Phillip Wayne Yates, 73, passed away October 13, 2014.
He was a licensed Optician and retired from 20/20 Eyecare. His favorite pastimes were fishing and bowling. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame at Signature Healthcare of South Louisville in September 2011. He was honored for professional and personal accomplishments.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Yates; four children, Phillip Yates, Gary (Lori) Yates, Vicky (Joseph) McKim, Suzanne (Michael) Bowman; seven grandchildren and one great grandson; two sisters, Rebecca Kendall, Louise (Allan) Thewes; and one brother, Ronald (Beverly) Yates.
Funeral services to be held at 1:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy. Louisville, Ky. 40216.
Visitation will be after 9:00 AM Friday.
