Margaret Elizabeth Firgeleski, 66, of Mystic, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London. She was born on March 8, 1948, in New London, the daughter of Noyes and Margaret (Schramm) Collins. She was a graduate of Robert E. Fitch High School, Class of 1967.
She married Thomas E. Firgeleski on April 22, 1969. He survives her.
She worked at the Mystic Color Lab and Carwild Corporation in Mystic prior to working as a Special Needs Bus Aide for the Groton Board of Education. She enjoyed bingo and loved animals, especially her dog "Roxy." She also enjoyed camping, boating and dancing on Saturday at Ross Hill Campground in Jewett City.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Kim Brazee and two grandsons James and Thomas Firgeleski all of Groton. She is also survived by her twin brother Noyes Collins of Colchester and two nieces, Colette Holmes of Waterford and Tamarah Collins of Hebron, as well as two great nieces, Skylar and Byrnn Holmes.
Her family will greet relatives and friends on Wednesday, October 15, from 6 to 9pm at the Dinoto Funeral Home, 17 Pearl Street, Mystic. A Funeral Service will be conducted on Thursday at the funeral home at 11am with burial following in Elm Grove Cemetery, Mystic.
