Anna D. (Avellani) Trionfi passed away peacefully at the Winchester Hospital. She was 77.
Anna was born and raised in Tione degli Abruzzi in Italy, the daughter of the late Renato and Leondina (Camilli) Avellani. She was also the loving step daughter of the late Anna Fedela Avellani. She moved to the United States as a young woman in 1958 and lived in the North End of Boston and then settled in Somerville in the early 1970’s. Anna was devoted to her family. She also worked as a seamstress, a job at which she had considerable talent. But her family was always her main focus. She enjoyed the outdoors and taking trips with family and friends and especially enjoyed summer at the beach and taking in the 4th of July fireworks. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
The beloved wife of Natalino Trionfi, she was a devoted mother to Maria Kassabgi and her husband George of Winchester, Natalino Trionfi, Jr of Somerville, Diana Fazzolari and her husband Joe of Swampscott, and Danny Trionfi of Everett. She was a loving grandmother to George, Nicholas, Louis, Vincenzo, and Giulianna. She was dear sister to Remo Avellani of Somerville, Lino Avellani of Medford, Adelina Coppola of Andover, Rena Cincotta of Saugus, Dina Trebbe of Fl and of the late Dominic Avellani. Anna also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday from 4 – 8 PM and again on Thursday morning, October 16th at 9 followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in Saint Benedict Church, Somerville at 10 AM. Services will conclude with entombment at Woodlawn Mausoleum, Everett.
