NORTHFIELD – Marjorie H. Norell, 101, of 190 Shaker Road, died Sunday, October 12, 2014 at Lakes Region General Hospital.
She was born on September 29, 1913 in Jamestown, NY, the daughter of Charles and Grace (Mack) Hale. She was a 1935 graduate of the Women’s Christian Association Hospital in Jamestown, NY. Marjorie was a Registered Nurse and she worked for 38 years as the Office Nurse for Dr. Hamel in Laconia. She loved stamp collecting and researching family genealogy. Marjorie also enjoyed cross stitching and crafts.
She is survived by one son, William C. Norell of Gilmanton, one daughter, Lois J. Wilson of Laconia, five grandchildren; Michael Glines of Sanbornton, Roger Glines of Tilton, Carol Beck of Gilmanton, Karen Woodward of Northfield and Robert K. Norell of Phoenix, Arizona, 4 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert W. Norell in 1994.
Calling hours will be held from 4PM to 6Pm on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, using the Carriage House entrance.
A private graveside service will be held at Smith Meeting House Cemetery, Gilmanton, NH.
