Tayli Ann Young, 20, of Derry, NH, died Thursday, December 2, 2004 in the Children's Hospital, Boston, MA after a courageous battle with a brain stem tumor. Tayli was born in Stoneham, MA on March 23, 1984, a daughter of Keith W.Young and Brenda Richards-Bohannon. She was a resident of Derry for 16 years, formerly living in Everett, MA. She was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy, Class of 2003, where she received many scholarships. Tayli was a student at Anna Maria College, Paxton, MA, studying to be an art therapist so she could help other children. She also was an artist who loved to draw. Tayli Ann brought love and magic into the lives of everyone near her. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her mother and step-father, Brenda Z. Richards-Bohannon and Stephen Bohannon of Derry, her father, Keith W. Young of Everett, MA, one brother, Cory Young of Derry, one step-brother, Shawn Bohannon, one step-sister, Casey Bohannon both of Swampscott, MA, and her grandparents, Sheila Richards of Hyannis, MA, Robert M. and Sonja Richards of Sterling, MA, William and Ella Young of Hampstead, NH, Earl and Leona Bohannon of Lynn, MA, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 8th at 10:00am at Holy Cross Church, Hampstead Road, Derry with cremation to follow. Friends may call on Tuesday from 2 - 4 and 6 - 9pm at the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch St., Derry. Memorial contributions may be made in Tayli’s name to the Jimmy Fund, C/O Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA 02115.
