Maria C. Vieira, age 61 of Swansea, passed away Oct. 10, 2014 at Boston Medical Center. Born in Rabo de Peixe, São Miguel, Açores, she was the wife of Manuel C. Vieira and the daughter of the late Manuel Vieira & Maria A Carreiro.
Prior to retiring, Maria worked as a Bakery Manager for Seabra Supermarket. She was a parishioner of St. John of God Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Stacy & Jason Vieira both of Swansea; granddaughter: Alyssa Marques; siblings: Antonio & Altino Frizado, Maria (Angie) Carvalho, Eduarda Soares all of Fall River, Auxiliadora Vieira of Swansea, Lenore Silva of Rehoboth, and Maria Barroso of Fall River; many nieces & nephews. She was the sister of the late Manuel, Edmundo, Adeline, & Francisco Frizado, Jose, Fernando, & Agostinho Vieira.
Her funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC 1521 N. Main St. Fall River WEDNESDAY at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. John of God Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River.
