George Walton, Sr.
Augusta, GA – Entered into rest Monday, October 06, 2014, Mr. George Walton, 85, husband to the late Mary Lou Walton.
Mr. Walton was a native of Augusta, GA. He was a Masonry Contractor for over 50 years and owned and operated Walton Masonry. He was very proud of having built the fireplace in the Butler Cabin at the Augusta National during his career. He loved fishing, gardening and enjoyed tinkering and inventing new things in his shop.
Family members include his daughter: Dreama Maxey; sons: George Walton, Jr. and his wife Adelia; Ken Walton and his wife Jeanne; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. in the Conference Room at the West Augusta Super 8 Motel. Everyone is invited to join the Walton Family for a reception following service for fellowship and refreshments.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the West Augusta Super 8 Motel at 456 Park West Drive, Grovetown, GA 30813 706-396-1600.
