WEST BOYLSTON/EASTWARREN,VT-Paul A. Trippi, 63, passed away peacefully in his sleep on October 3rd. Paul is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Sharon (Richardson) Trippi; his mother, Nancy (Leary) Trippi; stepdaughter, Deanna Heath and her husband Thomas and three precious grandchildren, Melanie, Ryan and Olivia of Worcester; his sister, Susan Trippi of Lawrence; his brother, Charles Trippi and his wife Gail of Shrewsbury and several nieces, nephews and wonderful cousins. Paul was predeceased by his father, Anthony J. Trippi and his stepson, Wesley Burton, III.
Paul was born in Worcester and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School and Bridgewater State College where he played varsity football at both schools. Paul began his career in the Probation Department of the Winchendon District Court in 1976. He was the Probation Officer in charge and, for a few years, the Acting Clerk Magistrate. He retired from the Court in 2002, with many wonderful memories of colleagues and the work he accomplished in helping others.
Paul was an avid skier his whole life. He and his wife had a second home in the Mad River Valley in East Warren, VT. They spent years enjoying the beauty and solitude of the Valley and skiing at Mad River. He loved bringing friends and family, especially his grandchildren, to the Valley to share the joy he found in being there. He played golf and loved being outside enjoying the camaraderie of the game. Most importantly he was a devoted husband and son. His presence will sorely be missed by all who knew and cared for him.
Visiting hours for Paul will be held on Thursday, October 9th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 1 W. Boylston St., W. Boylston A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th at 11:00 am at Oakdale United Methodist Church, 15 N. Main St., W. Boylston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
