Quiggins, Hobson James, 92, of Louisville passed away peacefully at his home Monday, October 6, 2014.
He was a native of Solway, KY., a U. S. Army veteran of WWII, retired after 19 years with Louisville Gas & Electric and a member of Epworth United Methodist Church for 52 years.
Preceded in death by his sister, Rachel Goodman & three brothers, Mitchell, Carlus & Walter Quiggins.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Dorothy L. (Hay) Quiggins; four children, J.D. Quiggins (Cathy), Beverly Alexander, Donna Netter (Alan) & Levana Goetz (David); eight grandchildren, Tina (Larry), Valerie, Monica, Tara, Alexis, Amber, Shawn & Christina; four great grandchildren, Keegan, Ainsley, Shawn & Ezra.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Thursday at Epworth United Methodist Church 919 Palatka Road with burial in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, new addition, Big Clifty, KY. Visitation will be 12:00 – 8:00 pm Wednesday at the Owen Funeral Home 5317 Dixie Hwy. & after 9:00 am Thursday at his church.
