Helena E.“Helen” Hogan, 88, of Greenville, died Monday at the Greenville Center. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Hogan and they had been married for 56 years.
Helen was born in Providence and was the only child of the late Michael Meszkinis and the late Mary (Cybulski) Meszkinis-Zigunia.
Helen began her secretarial career working for 20 years for the former Standish Johnson Outdoor Advertising Company. She then had worked for the State of RI and was secretary for the RI House of Representatives for many years. She was also a past secretary for the Smithfield Democratic Town Committee.The Hogan family would like to thank Helen’s many caregivers; the staff at the Greenville Center, The Village at Waterman Lake, and Dr. Charles Sherman and his staff, for their compassion and care.
She leaves many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:30 AM from the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 AM in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Avenue, Greenville. Burial in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Cranston. Visitation Tuesday 5-7PM.
